Here are the central features immediately accessible through the main panel of Reach Beta.

Reach was created around a powerful search bar that allows you to launch and bookmark AE commands, apply effects and presets, find your scripts, built-in features, and expressions.

All of these items can be bookmarked at your convenience.

You can also use the Expression editor, purge your disk cache directly with a click, operate windowlessly, and create a snapshot on the fly of the current view in your composition. The settings will allow you to customise the appearance and size of your tool.

Under the search bar, you will find a convenient Anchor Point mover displayed in a row.

Below, the Speed graph is a helpful way to apply easing to your selected keyframes, and from that, you can find the 10 most common presets that you can fine-tune. The top arrow retrieves the values from the selected keyframes, and the bottom arrow applies the retrieved or current IN and OUT values.

Then you have the 27 most common features proposed by Reach as icons, from the top left to the bottom right:

The Expression Editor.

One of the powerful features proposed by Reach is its Expression Editor, where you can display and store all your expressions. Select an expression from the list in the dedicated panel to edit it. In the textarea, you benefit from a modern JavaScript formatter.

You can name or rename your expression, select a default property to apply it instantly whenever you want, or choose “any” to use it on the selected property at your convenience. Some expressions are already provided with the tool. You can enjoy, edit, or delete them.

The Align Tool: You can display this feature not only to replace the AE Align panel but also when you want to align objects to the first selected object, which is a slightly different and valuable option. You don't need to do any additional steps to align your layers. By the way, it can also be handy when aligning some 3D layers, bypassing the AE classic restriction. However, it is not designed for aligning 3D objects, so use it with caution.

The Paragraph tool is optional; it is provided to prevent the permanent display of AE’s Paragraph panel. Since every displayed tool appears by default, you can choose to include or exclude it from your UI through the settings.

Then, the CTI mover feature allows you to decide how many frames to jump forward or backwards, which is helpful when working with exotic numbers, such as 7.

To conclude, the UI features a slider for zooming in and out. The magnifier will display your comp at 100% with a click.
